Journey to rediscovery

I was a normal(ish), happy-go-lucky kinda guy until I came off my motorbike, in spectacular fashion, in July of 1999.

I broke my back in three places, T4, 5 & 6.... my neck in three places, C3, 4 & 5.... smashed my left knee.... broke my clavicle.... and a rib or two.... punctured a lung.... and died for longer than is recommended.... somewhere between 5 and 15 minutes.

The end result being that I was left paralyzed from the chest down and reliant on a wheelchair for getting about.

My philosophy on life is such that we should all play the cards that life deals us to the best of our ability. So I set about becoming a happy-go-lucky paraplegic.
